American's online
auction gives your organization the opportunity to host auctions
without geographic boundaries. Online auctions are ideal for
fundraising programs like the United Way, American Cancer Society,
educational events, scholarships, individuals in need and much more.
In addition, the online auction site may be customized with the look
and feel of your organization. Auction items that have proven to be
successful include event tickets, patriotic items, sports
memorabilia, clothing, trips and other services. Keep in mind that
many of these items could be donated.
Featured auction items
are automatically turned on and off based on preselected dates and
times. In addition, when users register, they receive an e-mail
notification informing them of their bid number and password.
Searching for items is a simple process. When an item is selected,
the user will see a photo along with a detailed description. Bidding
takes place on this detailed page and users can easily view their
open bids at any time.
The online auction coordinator will
have administrative capabilities to keep tabs on what is taking
place during the auction process, such as number of bidders, bidder
information, listing of items and bidders, and winning
bids.
